Merge Google Calendars Into One Main Calendar

Why Google calendar overlays are not enough

Google Calendar can show multiple calendars in one interface, but that overlay is personal to your view. It does not automatically protect availability in another account.

If you use several Google accounts, merging the important events into one main calendar is often more reliable than switching account views all day.

Best merge pattern

Use your most-used Google account as the destination. Copy events from the secondary Google calendars into that account with a source prefix, such as Personal: Busy or Client: Review.

Privacy options

For personal or sensitive calendars, copy only busy blocks. For client calendars, title-only copies are often enough to explain what the time is for without exposing notes or participants.
